I'd love to take just a minute to share with you why I'm starting this blog, who it's for, and what you can expect. Let's get to it!
Why am I starting a blog? My mission, as a photographer, is to glorify God by loving clients and going above and beyond to create a joyful experience & beautiful images to help you remember your biggest milestones. One way that I plan to carry out my mission is by growing unique connections with you guys right here on the blog.
My three main goals for the blog are to...
1) Escape the walls of social media so that I can tell your story the way no one else can,
2) Give you the opportunity to get to know me as a person not just a photographer, and
3) Add value to your life by answering your questions!
This all sounds nice but who exactly is this blog for? Put simply, this blog is for YOU! If you aren’t sure who you are by now, I can’t really help you with that, but I can tell you a few things that may be true of you.
- You may be a bride or groom. I'll be sharing useful tips that will help you prepare for your big day, from a guy's perspective, because ...well, I'm a guy... duh.
- You may be a small business owner/entrepreneur. We are all in this together (cue the song from High School Musical). I want to create beneficial content that you can identify with and help you take your business to the next level.
- You may also be a past, present, or future TMP couple, senior, or family. If you’ve never worked with us before, this blog will give you a quick glance at what beautiful memories we can make together as you imagine you and your loved ones in the images you see on the blog.
Honestly, the list goes on. If you are still wondering if this blog is for you, you will just have to stick around to find out.
Now that we’ve established who should read this, what can you expect? You can expect to see a lot of story-telling, that’s for sure. When I post my work, I don’t just describe the photos with flowery adjectives or cliché phrases. I describe you. If you’re a bride, I’ll tell the story of how you met your special someone or the intimate moments that made your wedding day unique to you.
Those who know me best know that my mind can be scattered and my interests are quite broad so gear up for a wild ride! Marketing tips, random thoughts, and the story of my family are among other topics you may read about as you scroll through the blog. I promise to try and keep the mood light and bring a smile to your face along the way.
As far as the future of the blog, who knows what the heck we'll be talking about in 5-10 years! Although I haven't figured out how to tell the future yet, (sorry) I do expect the blog to change over time. I am not the same “Thomas the Tank engine” that I was 21 years ago. I have changed… a LOT… Thank goodness! As I change, the blog will change too, and I can’t wait to see where this journey will take us.
