On the most beautiful, sunny day in April, we met Micaela & Josh in downtown Portsmouth for their engagement session.
The faint smell of salt water and the bustle of the city set the scene as we walked and talked our way around downtown. We chatted about their mutual love of pizza, interesting tidbits about Burlington, VT, how they shared a wall in their college dorm, the different terms people use for stages of dating, Micaela’s authentically handmade leather sandals (AKA Birks), all the things! Laughing all the way.
It didn’t take long to realize how much we have in common with them. They, too, have a best friend kind of love. To the point where Micaela said she felt weird picking out her wedding dress without getting Josh’s opinion. It was so sweet to watch how they gently and kindly interacted with each other.
It was such a perfect night that even cars were slowing down for us and people walking by stopped for us. Portsmouth, thank you for being so kind!
After laughing until our cheeks hurt and walking until our feet hurt, we grabbed dinner and drove home all the while obsessing about how much we loved spending time with them! It makes us so excited for their August 5th wedding at Timber Hill Farm!
